About Us
Science-Informed CBD Wellness for Animals
They're Family. Formulate Accordingly.
Rx Pets was created with a straightforward belief:
Animal wellness deserves the same level of formulation science and product innovation increasingly available in human wellness.
Too many cannabinoid products marketed for animals begin with a standard CBD extract and stop there.
We saw an opportunity to think differently. Instead of asking, “How do we make CBD for pets?”
We asked: “How do we build sophisticated plant-based wellness formulas around the needs of cats and dogs?”
That question became Rx Pets.
More Than CBD
CBD remains an important component of our formulations, but our approach extends beyond a single cannabinoid.
Depending upon the product, an Rx Pets formula may combine CBD with CBDA, targeted terpene profiles and plant-derived compounds such as curcumin, PEA, CoQ10, ashwagandha, valerian root, lavender, willow bark and devil’s claw.
Our feline formulation incorporates anchovy-derived fish oil to provide omega-3 fatty acids while creating a flavor profile specifically selected for cats.
Those choices illustrate the Rx Pets philosophy:
Start with the animal. Define the wellness objective. Then build the formulation.
Our Formulation Philosophy
1. Purpose Before Ingredients
Every formula begins with a specific wellness objective—from calm behavior to joint mobility and everyday physical comfort.
2. Complementary Compounds
We select ingredients based on how they fit into the overall formulation rather than relying exclusively on CBD.
3. Animal-Specific Delivery
A dog’s treat, a cat’s oral oil and a horse’s nutritional supplement require different approaches to palatability, concentration and delivery.
4. Meaningful Potency
Our formulas provide clearly identified cannabinoid concentrations rather than hiding active ingredients behind ambiguous proprietary blends.
5. Science-Informed Innovation
We continually evaluate cannabinoid, botanical and animal-wellness research as the scientific understanding of these compounds evolves.
